Women's Lacrosse Tabbed Fourth in GNAC Preseason Poll

NEWTON, Mass. (2/19/15) – The Lasell College women's lacrosse team was voted fourth in the annual conference preseason poll by the ten head coaches of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Emmanuel placed first in the poll, receiving eight of ten first place votes, and 98 total points. Norwich University secured the second spot with 80 overall votes, and a single first place vote. Saint Joseph's College of Maine earned third place with 71 points, as Lasell fell just behind them with 70 points.

The Lasers concluded the 2014 season at 9-8, going 7-3 in conference contests. The squad secured a spot in the GNAC postseason tournament, falling to Rivier University 11-7 in the quarterfinals.

The first women's lacrosse game is slated for Tuesday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m.  as they host Salem State University in a non-conference contest.
