The Lasell College women's lacrosse team fell at Norwich University 17-6 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship game. Lasell dropped to 15-3 with the loss, while the Cadets remained perfect at 14-0.

Lasell sophmore Britney Wuorio (Bolton, Mass.) finished the game with a pair of goals and two assists, while Erin Gertonson (Baypot, N.Y.) added two goals. Bridget Ryan (Chatham, N.J.) chipped in one goal and one assist, while Rebecca Stanton (Agawam, Mass.) tallied a goal for the Lasers. Grace Fitzpatrick (Falmouth, Maine.) paced the Norwich attack with nine goals, with Kacey Abbriano (Hicksville, N.Y.) adding five for the Cadets.

After Fitzpatrick opened the scoring for Norwich, Gertonson scored at the 27 minute mark to draw Lasell even at 1-1. Norwich came back with three straight goals to take a 4-1 lead with just under 17 minutes to play in the opening half. The Lasers used goals from Stanton and Ryan to trim the hosts lead to 4-3 at the 10:45 mark, but the Cadets closed the half with a 6-0 run, building a 10-3 halftime edge.

Gertonson and Wuorio each scored goals sandwiched around an Abriano marker for Norwich, bringing Lasell's deficit to 11-5 early in the second half, but Norwich proved to be too strong on their home field, scoring six of the games last seven goals to bring home the GNAC championship 17-6.

Alexa Katsigianis (Amherst, N.H.) took the loss for Lasell while stopping 10 shots, and Megan Kennedy (Lowell, Mass.) earned the win for Norwich, holding Lasell to six goals while finishing with eight saves.
