Slattery Receives National Recognition from Womenslacrosse.com

NEWTON, MA-- Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA), a freshman midfielder on the Lasell College women's lacrosse team, has received national recognition from womenslacrosse.com as a Division III Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll recipient.

 

Slattery was honored after a week during which she averaged four points per game as the Lasers went undefeated, 3-0.  Slattery scored four points in each of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contests, while also averaging 3.66 ground balls, 4.66 draw controls, and adding two caused turnovers for a strong all around week.

 

Slattery was selected as the GNAC Rookie of the Week for the last two consecutive weeks.  The Rookie is second on the team in total points (32),  assists (7), and caused turnovers (14).   She is ranked third on the team in goals (23) and ground balls (46), and is first on the team in draw controls (42).  She has scored one game-winning goal this season, against Rivier College on March 27tjh, and has started in 9-of-10 games this season.

 

Amongst the conference, Slattery is currently ranked in five statistical categories.  She is ranked fifth in the conference in draw controls per game (3.71), eighth in goals per game (3.29), ninth in points per game (4.14), and tenth in assists per game (.86).  She is also tied for fourth place in the conference in game-winning goals.
