NEWTON, MA-- Ashley Slattery (Weymouth, MA) was selected as the Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the week ending March 21, 2010.

Slattery was chosen after a 1-1 week for Lasell during which time she scored five total points and collected seven ground balls, six draw controls, and caused three turnovers.  She scored all five points at Anna Maria, tallying three goals and dishing out two assists.

The rookie midfielder is currently ranked fourth on the team in total points (15), having made 10 season goals and added five helpers. She is leading the team in draw controls (25) and is second on the team in total ground balls (22).  She is also tied for first on the team this season in caused turnovers (12).
