The Norwich University Cadets came to Lasell on Saturday afternoon and showed why they are the top ranked team in the GNAC.  The Cadets were able to beat the third place Lasers, 19-12, on a rainy and cold afternoon on Grellier Field.

Norwich jumped out to an early eight goal lead but Lasell would not give up.  Despite being out shot 26-14 in the first half the Lasers were able to battle back from the deficit to end up down just 11-8 at half time.  The second half the Cadets continued just to control the pace and tempo and outscored Lasell 8-4 on way to their 19-12 victory.

Tina Canavan (Stonington ,CT) and Caitlyn Murphy (Katonah, NY) continue to put up strong offensive numbers.  Canavan had four goals, two assists and Murphy had five goals.  Erika McGrath (Saco, ME), Andrea Ward (Hingham, MA) and Kendall Barreiro (Ossining, NY) also had goals for Lasell. Valentina Hernandez (Jamacia Plain, MA) and Jenna Stitt (Auburn, NH) both chipped in with an assist.

Sophomore goalie Kristin Coderre (Monson, MA) played very well despite the loss.  She totaled 14 saves and some very big ones early in the game to keep the Lasers in it.

The loss drops Lasell to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the GNAC.
