WBB: Lasers Suffer Road Loss to Johnson & Wales

Providence, RI - The Lasell women's basketball team went on the road Tuesday night playing the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales.

The Lasers came into the game 5-4 in GNAC play facing a tough Wildcats team who came in 7-1. JuJu Nealy opened the scoring for the Lasers finding her way to the hoop on the first possession of the game. After holding the brief 2-0 lead however, the Wildcats would not relinquish it back the rest of the game. The Wildcats shot the three ball well throughout the course of the game and the Lasers unfortunately struggled to string baskets and stops together to get back into it. The Wildcats continued to pull away and eventually won 90-52.

Shirle Major led the Lasers in scoring Tuesday with 10 points. JuJu Nealy also added 7 points and 12 total Lasers added points to the scoresheet.

Up Next - The Lasers will look to rebound again on Saturday with a home matchup versus Saint Joseph's (ME).
