Newton, MA- In a hard-fought matchup, Lasell came out on top with a 64-50 victory over UMass Boston. The game was competitive through the first three quarters, but Lasell pulled away in the final period to seal the win.

The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams scoring 17 points to end the period tied. In the second quarter, Lasell managed to edge out UMass Boston by a slim margin, leading 28-26 at halftime. The third quarter followed a similar pattern, with Lasell outscoring UMass Boston by just 1 point, extending their lead to 43-40.

However, the turning point came in the fourth quarter, where Lasell exploded for 21 points compared to UMass Boston's 10, stretching their lead and ultimately securing the victory.

Lasell was led by Laura Johnson, who had an impressive double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Kiara Cerruti added 11 points, and Mia Sullivan-Sanders contributed 11 points off the bench. The team's strong rebounding effort (43 total rebounds) and ball movement (20 assists) were key to their success.
