Framingham, MA - Lasell took on a road matchup versus Framingham State on Friday night.
Both teams came into the game being 2-2 on the year and getting another chance to improve to an above .500 record. In another tightly contested game for Lasell, they went back and forth in the first quarter with a tied game at 13-13 as time counted down in the first quarter. On their last offensive possession of the first, they found Abigail Duclos who hit a jumper that sparked a 6-0 Lasers run that went into the second quarter. However, the Rams responded as they went on to finish the half outscoring the Lasers 15-7 in the final six minutes which gave them the 2-point halftime edge. The second half was truly a battle as there were constant lead changes and ties and no team held a lead by more than 5. In the waning minutes, Lasell held a 59-58 lead but they just couldn't seal the deal as Framingham rattled off five unanswered to end the game 63-59.
The top performers for the Lasers in the game were Kiara Cerruti who poured in 14 points and Laura Johnson who had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Up Next - The Lasers will have one final home game before the Thanksgiving break with a home game on Wednesday at 1 PM against UMass Boston.
