WBB: Lasers Win in 600th Game in Program History

Franklin, MA - The Lasell Lasers defeated the Dean College Bulldogs by a final score of 68-40 on Saturday afternoon. The game marked the 600th women's basketball game to be played by Lasell at the NCAA level. The Lasers are now 4-14 overall, and 3-7 in conference play, while the Bulldogs are now 0-17 and 0-12.

The Lasers got out to a fast start, opening the game on a 12-1 run. They wouldn't look back the rest of the game. They continued to control the first quarter, and took a 20-11 lead into the second. The Lasers would go up by as many as 16 in the second quarter, and eventually took an 11-point lead into halftime with the score 30-19.

The Lasers continued to put the pressure on, and used a 10-0 run in the third quarter to open the game up even further. They would bring a 50-31 lead into the final period. During the fourth the Lasers continued to pile onto their lead, using an 8-0 run to take their largest lead of the game at 68-37, before ultimately winning 68-40.

The Lasers were led by Juju Nealy's 18 points and five steals. Behind her was Jasmine DePina and Glo Lubunga each scoring eight. DePina also led the team with nine rebounds.
