WBB: Five Lasers Score in Double Digits in Loss to Falcons

Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers Women's Basketball team fell to the Albertus Magnus Falcons by a final score of 86-66. The loss drops the Lasers to 3-10 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. The Falcons are now 13-1 and 8-0.

The two teams went back and forth in the first quarter, with the Falcons holding the lead the entire quarter. The Lasers trailed 23-17 headed into the second quarter. After the Falcons started the second quarter on a 10-0 run to take a 16-point lead, the Lasers went on a 13-2 run of their own to end the half. They would trail 41-34 at the break.

Lasell would cut the deficit to three multiple times early in the second half, but were never able to tie things up. The Falcons utilized a 10-0 run to take full control, and led 63-47 after three quarters. After a close fourth quarter, the Falcons went home with the 86-66 win.

Shirle Major led the Lasers with 15 points, but the Lasers had four other double-digit scorers. They were Jasmine DePina (12), Laura Johnson (12), Brenna Graber (10), and Juju Nealy (10). Kaitlyn Antonucci led the team with 11 rebounds, with DePina right behind her with eight.
