WINTHROP, Mass. – After scoring a team-high 24 points and pulling down 14 rebounds during an 85-70 overtime win over Rivier Saturday, senior forward Meg Carroll of the Lasell University women's basketball team earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors Monday.

Carroll has compiled a superb senior campaign, as she earned GNAC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 6 and was named Division III National Player of the Week by the United States Basketball Writers Association on Dec. 7.

In the win over the Raiders Saturday at the Lasell Athletic Center, Carroll secured the win with 10 points in overtime, including going 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. The Lasers (6-6, 4-2 GNAC) outscored Rivier, 22-7, in the extra period.

Carroll has scored 21 or more points six times in 2021-22 and has compiled five double-doubles on the season. During a 76-59 triumph over Northern Vermont-Johnson on Nov. 30, she scored a program-record 39 points and corralled a personal-best 20 rebounds.

Carroll ranks second in the GNAC in points per game (20.5), second in rebounds per game (10.5) and second in field-goal percentage (51.7).
