Newton, MA - The Lasers swept GNAC opponent Dean College in this afternoons doubleheader, the Lasers rise to 7-1 in conference play while the Bulldogs drop to 0-8. 

Game 1 

The Lasers got on the board early, with four runs in the first inning. A single to shortstop from Katie Hopkins sent home Brianna Gendreau for the Lasers first run of the day. Eryn Sheeley followed with a double to center, sending Hopkins home. Another single from the Lasers and an error on Dean sent the last two runs of the inning home. 

The third inning opened up with a homer from Hopkins, followed by a triple from Gendreau sending home three more Lasers for an 8-0 lead. 

A triple from Hopkins and a single from Sheeley sent the last two Laser runs in to finish up the first game of the day. 

Hopkins went 3-3 for the Lasers offense. Sheeley collected 11 strikeouts on the mound. 

Game 2 

Once again the Lasers started out the game with a run early in the first inning. A single RBI from Emily Rondeau sent Gendreau home for an early 1-0 lead. 

Another homer from Hopkins in the bottom of the third would give Lasell their final run of the day. 

Abigail Fortin pitched all seven innings for the Lasers, earning four strikeouts on the game. 

Up Next: The Lasers are hitting the road tomorrow for a conference matchup against Regis College.
