SB: Lasers Drop Non-Conference With Endicott

Beverley, MA – The Lasell University softball team dropped a non-conference matchup with the Endicott College Gulls on Thursday afternoon, 13-0. The loss set Lasell's record back to 11-8 on the season while the Gulls improve to 13-4. 

Endicott put it on Lasell early and often in this one, opening up thew scoring in the second inning. Endicott put up ten runs on nine hits in the second, two of those hits coming from Elyse Saccoccio as she singled and doubled in the inning and drove in a run in the process.  Katie Watts also smacked a bases clearing double to left center to extend the Gulls lead.

Chloe Shapleigh collected her second hit of the day in the third, blasting a three-run home run to cap the gulls scoring at 13-0.

Offensively for the Lasers, Emlly Mestas and Abby Fortin each had a hit. 

Grace LeClair got the start for the Lasers going one and two-thirds innings allowing nine hits and ten runs.

Up Next: The Lasers return home for conference play as they host Dean College at 12:00 and 2:00 pm at Taylor field!
