NEWTON, Mass. (12/17/13) - Lasell College is pleased to announce the appointment of Lacy Gillotti as the Head Softball Coach. Gillotti was an assistant at Wellesley College prior to taking over the Lasell program, helping Wellesley to 113 victories over the course of five seasons. Gillotti becomes the fifth head coach in the program's history, taking over a Lasers team that went 7-17 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play in 2013.

Athletic Director Kristy Walter said, "We are very excited to have Coach Gillotti join our coaching staff.   Her background and experience make her a great fit for Lasell College and I am looking forward to having her work with our young women building a strong softball program."

Gillotti coached 13 All-NEWMAC players and 12 All-Region players while at Wellesley and saw members of their program earn Academic All-Conference honors 14 times, including a pair of Academic All-American selections. 

Gillotti earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science form Fitchburg State University before going on to complete her Master's in Physical Education at Springfield.
