XC: Lasers compete at UMass Dartmouth Invitational     

Dartmouth, MA – The Lasell University Men's and Women's cross-country team competed in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday morning.

For the Men, Junior Patrick Carbone (Peabody, MA) competed in the 8K and finished with a time of 34:02:96. "I felt good for my first 8k. My teammates being supportive and having such a positive energy gave me what I needed to finish today," said Carbone.  Freshman Michael Curran (Woburn, MA)  ran his first collegiate 8K with a time of 34:30.62. 

For the Woman, Freshman Ariel Foster (Dorchester, MA) competed in the 5K and set a personal record time of 25:22.60. "After running my 5k, I was proud of myself  because I PR'd by 2 minutes and second reason because I told myself I'm able and I did, " said Foster.  Three other Lasers also set a personal record in the 5K; Sophmore Hannah Babek (Deep River, CT) with a time of 26:39.73. Junior Adrianna Tassone (Salt Point, NY) with a time of 27:17.80, and Freshman Savannah Teixeira (Rochester, MA) with a time of 37:05.78.  Senior Efthia Fotos (Aubrun, MA)  ran her first collegiate 5K with a time of 29:42.42. Freshman Emily Varga (Georgetown, MA) also ran her first collegiate 5K with a time of 26:25.34. 

The Lasers' next meet is on September 24th  at the Elms Blazer Classic.
