"I am very excited and honored to have the opportunity to lead these programs," said Biello. "I want to recognize all who have come before me and left big shoes to fill. A special thanks goes to Coach Michael McGrane and Coach Ricky Igbani for being great mentors and leaders. This program has grown so much over the past few years, and I am extremely lucky to now play a major part in creating this growth."

Biello served as an Assistant Coach for the Lasers' cross country and track & field teams during the 2021-22 season. He led the sprints and mid-distance groups, managed the social media channels and assumed the lead coaching role for part of the season. The track & field programs earned nine GNAC weekly awards and Brady Mackechnie was named Rookie of the Year for the outdoor season. During the cross-country season, Aly Richard earned GNAC Rookie of the Week recognition on Sept. 27. She finished 19th overall out of 72 runners and eighth among GNAC freshmen at the conference championship on Oct. 30.

"The vision is to take these programs to the top of the GNAC and to more new heights," said Biello. "We have an amazing group of student-athletes who are ready to put in the time and effort. I cannot thank them enough for how much they have pushed me to be a better coach. I am excited for the future with the program."
