T&F: Lasers Compete at Lynn Ruddy Invitational at Bowdoin College

Brunswick, ME - The Lasell Track and Field team competed at the Lynn Ruddy Invitational over the weekend at Bowdoin College.

The meet saw numerous Lasers set new personal records. On the track, Evan Lewis set a new PR with a 5th place finish in the 600m with a time of 1:29.74. Michael Curran also set a new PR in the event with a time of 1:33.08. On the women's side of things both Emily Varga and Mikayla Bokis set PRs in the same event with times of 2:08.74 and 2:10.15, good for 5th and 6th place. In other long distance races, Adrianna Tassone PRed in the 800m with a time of 3:02.84, while Luke Bullock PRed in the 3000m with a time of 11:03.44

In the dashes, the Lasers were just as successful. In the 200m race, Jordan Woodley placed 4th with a time of 24.63s, and Darius Vincent finished 6th with a PR time of 25.26s. In the women's race the Lasers finished third and fourth as Madilyn Ebbinghaus and Hanna Babek finished with times of 28.02s and 28.74s respectively. Ebbinghaus also set a new PR in the 60m prelims with a time of 8.40s. She would then post a time of 8.47s in the finals, good for 4th. Babek finished 8th in the event with a time of 8.77s. Just ahead of both of them was Kayoni Jordan, as she finished in 3rd with a PR time of 8.34s. Rounding out the individual events on the track was Woodley PRing in the 60m Hurdles event with a time of 9.49s, good for 7th. The Men's 4x400m relay team of Spencer Villinski, Nathaniel Gonzalez, Darius Vincent, and Evan Lewis placed in third place with a time of 3:49.36.

Off the track, Connor Parker posted season bests in both the Shot Put (8.99m) and Weight Throw (10.87m). Also posting a season best was Damali Waugh, as she reached 9.00m in the Triple Jump. Julianna Huckans posted two PRs and fourth place finishes in the Pole Vault (2.50m) and Long Jump (4.93m)

Up Next - The Lasers will compete at the GNAC Indoor Championships next Sunday at Boston University.
