TF: Lasers Compete at First Meet of the Season

Boston, MA - The Lasell Track and Field team competed at the Suffolk Invite at the New Balance Track on Saturday, and had a good season opening meet.

The highlight of the day came in the very first event, the Mascot 60m Dash, with Boomer finishing in fourth place, and beating out fellow GNAC mascots from Regis and Colby-Sawyer.

On the men's side of things, Max Corson set a new PR in the 60m Dash with a time of 7.55s, while also posting a 5.68m mark in the long jump. Also setting a PR was Nathaniel Gonzalez in the High Jump, where he posted a mark of 1.80m. He also had a time of 7.59s in the 60m Dash. Also posting a mark of 1.80m in the high jump was Ben Munukka. He posted a 7/57s time in the 60m Dash. Boston Williams posted times of 10.37s and 57.29s in the 60m Hurdles and 400m Dash.

For the women, Madilyn Ebbinghaus and Kayoni Jordan each participated in their first career meets, posting times of 8.53s and 8.83s in the 60m Dash respectively. Ebbinghaus also posted a mark of 3.61m in the long jump, while Jordan had a time of 31.53s in the 200m Dash. The only thrower to compete for the Lasers in the meet, Erika Oldham put up marks of 8.35m and 8.21m in the Shot Put and Weight Throw.
