MTrack: Lasers Compete at GNAC Championships

Standish, ME - The Lasell Lasers Men's Track and Field team competed at the GNAC Outdoor Championships on Sunday. They finished 4th with 56 points. Despite the harsh conditions, they still walked away with plenty of PRs.

Connor Parker scored 14 points for the Lasers, finishing third in the Hammer Throw (30.84m) and second in the Discus with a PR of 29.66m. He also ran the fourth leg of the 4x800m Relay. Elsewhere off the track, William Berry achieved a new PR with a fifth place finish in the Javelin with a mark of 35.22m. The jumpers also had a good day, as Zachary Kirsch finished in fifth place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.95m, while Dillon Ramirez finished sixth in the High Jump at 1.55m

Benjamin Abely was next for the Lasers with 12 individual points by placing second in the 100m Dash with a PR of 11.64s, and fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 23.94s. He was also the first leg of the 4x100m relay team that placed fourth with a time of 46.63s. Also on that team was Max Corson, Jordan Woodley, and Kadeem Ambroise. Ambroise would finish second in the 400m Hurdles race with a PR time of 59.87s, while Woodley had a time of 1:09.46 in the same event. Woodley finished in 8th place in the 110m Hurdle event with a time of 19.11s. Both Ambroise and Woodley also ran in the 4x400m Relay, joined by Nicholas Fernandes and Darius Vincent/ That team put up a third place time of 4:00.62.

 

Up Next - For most Lasers, the season is over, but some will be back at it at the New England DIII Regionals next weekend.
