Newton, MA- The Lasers hosted Emmanuel College for a GNAC matchup this afternoon, finishing with a 1-1 draw. 

Lasell struck first when Mpumelelo Maphumulo converted a penalty kick in the 42nd minute, giving Lasell a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The first half was characterized by numerous corner kicks and offensive pressure from both teams, but neither could find the net until the penalty. Maddox Pierce, the Emmanuel goalie, made several crucial saves to keep his team in the game, while Lasell's offense was consistently challenging.

Emmanuel came out strong in the second half and equalized in the 59th minute with a goal from Benjamin Anderson, assisted by Aaron Picker. This ignited a back-and-forth battle as both teams sought to gain the upper hand. Despite several opportunities and corner kicks for both sides, the goalkeepers remained strong, with Pierce and Antonio Centracchio each making key saves.

In the final moments, both teams pushed for a winning goal, but solid defensive plays and shot blocks kept the score level.
