Lasers Locks in a 3-1 Decision Over Falcons

New Haven, Conn. --  Shane Vinnicombe (Pomfret Center, Conn.) connected with the Albertus Magnus goal twice to lock in a 3-1 decision for the Lasell College men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.  The Lasers are now 5-2-1 overall this season and remain unbeated in the GNAC with a 2-0-1 record.

Albertus Magnus got on the board first as sophomore forward Mike DaSilva (Stratford, Conn.) made a play off a service ball from freshman Nick Hamasian (Hamden, Conn.) just under seven minutes into the first half.

After going into halftime in the deficit, Lasell came back to score three times after the break, which included Vinnicombe's two tallies.

Stephen Petrin (Vernon, Conn.) set up Vinnicombe's first shot with a cross at 53:16 into the second stanza.  After the traversed ball was slightly deflected by the Falcon's goalkeeper, Vinnicombe came in contact to tie up the contest at one-all.

Tholemson Francois (Stoneham, Mass.) put in the game-winner with fifteen minutes remaining with an unassisted tally for his first season goal.  Vinnicombe cushioned the Lasers advantage with his second mark just four minutes later.

Lasell will next hosts Bridgewater State College on Wednesday, September 30th at 4:00 p.m. on Taylor Field
