LASERS EXTEND GNAC WIN STREAK

Boston, Mass.- The Lasell College Lasers (4-4-0, 3-0-0 GNAC) defeated the Emerson Lions  (3-4-1, 0-2-0 GNAC) 4-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer action today at Rotch Field.

At 26:43 Dan Hatch (So., Avon, Mass.) took an assist from Kyle Cronin (Fr.,Weymouth, Mass.) for a shot to the left corner, on a quick recovery from a rebound off the hands of Emerson goalkeeper Jonas Imbert (Sr., Taunton, Mass.).

Sixty minutes in Tholeman Francios (Jr., Stoughton, Mass.) scored on a drive down the left side with a low shot to the center of the net, with an assist from Matt Tieri (So.,Billerica, Mass.).

Zach Gagne
(Sr.,Somerset, Mass.) scored on a penalty kick at the 83rd minute, then followed that up five minutes later with a breakaway down the middle sinking the ball high right in the Emerson goal.

With two seconds left in the game Eric Dabdoub (So., Monterrey, MEXICO) took a penalty kick for Emerson and scored.

Imbert saved 8 shots and allowed 4 goals.  Lasell goalkeeper Julian Dutton (Sr., Madison, Conn.) allowed 1 goal and saved 6.  Emerson had zero assists and shot 15 times with seven shots on goal.  Lasell took 21 shots with 12 shots on goal and had 2 assists.


Lasell next plays Wednesday at 4:00 against Norwich University at Taylor Field.
