Matthew Bruninghaus, a 6'2" freshman goalkeeper from Plymouth, Mass. was honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference as men's soccer Rookie of the Week.

Bruninghaus (left) was selected after making three huge saves and playing a great game against Brandeis University.   Throughout the season, Bruninghaus has played in nine games, and started four.  Bruninghaus has eighteen total saves this season and has one complete shut out.

Zach Gagne (Somerset, MA) and Julian Dutton (Madison, CT) were honor roll recipients this week from the GNAC.  Gagne produced the game winning goal for Lasell in the GNAC tournament quarter finals against Albertus Magnus College. Gagne beat the Falcons keeper in a 1-on-1 situation to pull the Lasers ahead for the win.  Dutton came up with three huge saves in the GNAC tournament quarter finals against Albertus Magnus to move the Lasers on to the semi final game.

Three women's soccer players were also on the GNAC honor roll this week.  Kaitlyn Fields (Stoneham, MA) scored the game winning goal in double overtime against Johnson & Wales University with just 28 seconds left to play. The final Lasell athlete to be honored this week was Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) from the women's volleyball team.  Crozier had a double-double in two matches this week, totaling 81 assists and 34 digs in thirteen total sets.
