Newton, MA - On Thursday evening two squads holding great records (Lasell 6-1) and (Wesleyan 7-0) faced off in a non-conference matchup. 

Wesleyan came out of the gate scoring the first seven points of the game putting pressure on the Lasers to respond. After falling behind 18-9, the Lasers found that response in an 11-2 run. Buckets from Che Hanks and Andy Madesko took the Cardinals lead and erased it tying the game up at 20 around the 13-minute mark in the first half. However, from that point, the Cardinals hit their stride and outscored the Lasers 32-13 in the remaining portion of the half putting the Lasers in an uphill battle. 

After having opened up the lead, the Cardinals held the Lasers at bay in the second half and were able to hand the Lasers their first home loss of the 2024-25 season.

Andy and Esmer Madesko were the top scorers for the Lasers on the night with 11 and 10 points. Tyler Costin also posted another solid shooting effort with three 3's and 9 points.
