Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers Men's Basketball team defeated the Regis Pride on Saturday by a final score of 73-60. With the win, the Lasers are now 13-6 on the season and 7-1 in GNAC play, while the Pride are now 8-11 and 3-5. The win was the Lasers' sixth straight victory.

The Lasers would slowly build their lead up throughout the first half, scoring a couple of baskets everytime the Pride scored. A 7-0 run over a one minute span helped the Lasers build some distance between them and Regis, and Lasell would take a 45-29 score lead into halftime. The Lasers would grab their largest lead of the whole game just 15 seconds into the second half, as a Marcus Lewis jump shot put the Lasers up 18. But throughout the second half the Pride would inch closer. They would eventually get the lead down to seven midway through the half. But that was as close as they would get, as the Lasers were never truly threatened, and would win 73-60.

Four of the five Lasers' starters scored in double-digits, with the lone other leaving the game early due to injury. The scoring was led by Marcus Lewis' 18, with Andy Madesko right behind him with 16. Che Hanks was next with 11, followed by Demerrick Warren's 10. Caden Arnold scored seven off the bench. While Lewis led the team with seven rebounds, it was Madesko who filled the stat sheet. He finished the game with five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Cameron Foster-Martez also had three steal.

Up Next - The Lasers will next play on Tuesday when they host JWU at 7:30pm.
