FH: Six lasers take home GNAC honors

Newton, MA

The Lasell University field hockey team had six of their players earn honors as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their post-season honors, All-Conference team, and All-Sportsmanship team.

Senior McKensie Lennon (Jamestown, RI) and Junior Lily Stark (Saco, ME) earned first team honors. Lennon started in all games this season and recorded one assist. Stark led the team with 23 goals and 8 assists. With those 23 goals, she set the new program record for goals in a season. Stark also set the single season points record for Lasell with 54.

Junior Johanna Snyder (Somerset, MA) and Senior Sheridan Blaha (Waltham, MA) earned second team honors. Snyder started in fourteen games this season and facilitated her teammates greatly. Blaha played in every game this season. She found the net nineteen times this season and recorded four assists.

Freshman goalkeeper Abby Boudreau (Wakefield, MA) earned all-rookie team honors. Boudreau played in ten games this season and she recorded a total of forty saves.  She also took home GNAC rookie of the week twice this season.

Junior Kaitlin Bedell (Londonderry, NH) earned all sportsmanship honors. Bedell played in sixteen games this season and she recorded two goals and one assist.

The Lasers finished 11-8 this season under first year coach Jess Paulin.
