The Lasell field hockey team has advanced to the GNAC tournament as the #6 seed and they will face the #3 seed St. Joseph's ME in the quarterfinal round on Saturday. This is the second matchup in four days between these two teams. On Wednesday, the Lasers won 2-1 in an overtime battle at Grellier Field. These two teams also matched up in last year's GNAC Quarterfinal with the Monks winning 4-0. In fact, this is the fourth year in a row that both these teams have played each other in the GNAC Quarterfinal. Overall, the Monks lead the series 6-1.
In their most recent matchup on Wednesday, Madison Raymond and Sheridan Blaha found their way onto the scoresheet for the Lasers. Maya Waryas had the lone goal for the Monks.
