Providence, RI - The Lasell Lasers saw their season end on Saturday with a 10-5 loss to Elms. The Lasers end their season at 22-16, while the Blazers are 24-14.

The Lasers scored first, scoring a run in the second on a ground out. The Blazers tied it up in the fourth, and then scored three times in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. But the Lasers responded right back in the bottom half of the inning with four runs. The first on a Connor Freitas, the second on a fielder's choice by Bryan Baumann, and the final two on a Jared Whitby two RBI single, giving the Lasers a 5-4 lead. But the Blazers would score two runs in three of the last four innings to win 10-5.

The Lasers offense could never get going, collecting just four hits, one each by Tim Callahan, Connor Freitas, Matthew Bischof, and Jared Whitby. Whitby also reached base with a walk, his 23rd of the season, tying the program record for walks in a season. It was previously done by Wes Hurty in 2016 and Brandon Valentin in 2017. Adam Marsh pitched the first 4.2 innings for the Lasers, and allowed six hits and four runs, three of which were earned. He struck out seven and walked two. After loading the bases in the fifth, he was relieved by Jason Giagrande, who got out of the jam by retiring the only batter he faced. It was Giagrande's 37th career appearance, tying him with Patrick Colvin for the fifth most in program history. Darek Lallo would come in next, and he allowed three hits and two earned runs in 0.1 innings, and he was handed the loss. Brendan Zaleski was next, and he allowed a hit and a run in an inning of work. Ethan Bernardo would then pitch the next two innings, allowing five hits and three runs. Tim Coakley would come in to get the final two outs, getting both via strikeouts.
