Milton, MA - The Lasell Lasers won a "home" game on the road on Thursday, defeating Curry as the home team at Curry by a score of 10-8. The Lasers are now 20-14 while the Colonels are now 10-22. This marks the fourth time in school history that the Lasers have won 20 games in a season, also doing it in 2011, 2016, and 2019.

After the Colonels scored two in the first, the Lasers wasted no time in getting the runs back. After a pair of singles from Tim Callahan and Connor Freitas, Matthew Bischof launched a ball over the fence, hitting his fourth homer of the season, and putting the Lasers up 3-2. The Lasers then scored again in the third on a double steal. After the Colonels drew closer in the sixth, the Lasers opened it up with five in the seventh. A single, walk, and HBP loaded the bases. Two runners scored on a Tim Callahan single, and two more came in on a Connor Freitas double. A Bryan Baumann single knocked in the last run, and made it 9-3. The Lasers ended up needing each of those runs, as Curry came right back and scored five runs in the eight to make it 9-8. Tim Callahan would give the Lasers some breathing room in the eighth with another RBI single. The Lasers would then close things out in the ninth, and win the game 10-8.

It was the top of the order that got things done as the 2, 3, 4, and 5 hitters combined for nine of the team's 10 hits, and all nine RBI. This was led by Tim Callahan's four hits and three RBI, and Connor Freitas' three hits and two RBI.

Joseph Ford got the start, and went three innings, allowing two hits and two runs. He struggled with control, walking five. He was relieved by Owen Caldwell, who picked up the win. Caldwell went three innings and allowed three hits and an unearned run. He struck out one. Brendan Zaleski then pitched a perfect seventh inning. He was followed by Tim Coakley, who pitched the eighth and allowed four hits and five runs. Next was Ethan Bernardo, and he recorded his fourth save of the season, tying him for the second most in a single season in school history.

Up next - The Lasers will head up to Saint Joseph's Maine for a doubleheader on Saturday to close out the regular season.
