Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson returns to his Alma Mater as an assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country and track & field teams.  Johnson competed for four years with the Lasell College men's cross country team, and was a captain his senior year. During his time at Lasell, Coach Johnson took part in 30 meets as a Laser, and finished as the top Lasell runner in 23 of those competitions.

Johnson ran his personal best of 28:08, in 2005 at the Elms Invitational, and was selected Rookie of the Year that same year. During his senior season in 2008, he placed 4th at Roger Williams University, 3rd at the Rivier College Invitational, and notched his season best at Franklin Park with a time of 28:32.  Chris also helped the Lasers to a fourth place finish in the GNAC Championships in 2008.  At the 2009 Lasell College Athletic Awards Banquet, Johnson was recognized as the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Coach Johnson graduated from Lasell in May 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science and a minor in Business. Currently, he is enrolled in the Masters of Science in Management in the Lasell College graduate program while also working as a fitness professional for an international sports club and owning his own business aimed at enhancing human performance.  Coach Johnson has had multiple articles published on the topic of health and fitness, and is still actively participating in marathon running, including the Boston Marathon.
