    CAMBRIDGE, MA- The Lasell College women’s track & field team was back in action on Saturday, February 12th at the second MIT Co-Ed Invitational in three weeks. Chelsea Zeig (West Nyack, NY) and Solange Carpenter (Gorham, ME) stood out once again, with results good enough to break Lasell individual records in the shot put, the 200 meter run, and the 800 meter run.
  • Women's Track & Field Shines at Smith Tartan Invitational

    NORTHAMPTON, MA- The Lasell College women’s track & field team placed 6th out of 11 teams at the Smith Tartan Invitational on Saturday at Smith College. Amherst College took first place at the meet, scoring 214 points, followed by WPI in second with 178 points, and Smith with 123.

    WALTHAM, MA- Sam Peck (Woodbury, CT), Chelsea Zeig (West Nyack, NY), and Marisa Lewon (Norwich, CT) had outstanding showings for the Lasell College women's track & field team on Saturday at Brandeis University's Reggie Poyau Invitational, setting new institution records in the women's triple jump, the shot put, and the 200 meter run respectively. The Lasers finished in 4th place overall as a team at the annual event.
  • Six Top-Ten Performances for Lasell's Women's Track & Field Team on Opening Day

    NORTHAMPTON, MA- The Lasell College women's track & Field team produced six top-ten performances during their opening day of competition at the Smith Winter Classic on Saturday morning. Freshman Sam Peck (Woodbury, CT) earned two of those top individual showings with a third place finish in the triple jump (9.99m) and a sixth place finish in the 55 meter hurdles (9.38). Peck also became the first track & field athlete from Lasell to qualify for the Division III New England Championship with her 55 meter hurdles results.

    After a truly exciting inaugural season in 2009-2010, the Lasell College women’s indoor track & field team has plans to make even more noise in 2010-2011. Returning just one letter-winner from last season, the Lasers have added nine additional competitors to the mix as they launch open the season at the Smith Winter Classic on Saturday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m.
