Caitlyn Garcia enters her second season at Lasell University as an assistant coach in the 2023 season. Garcia is returning to the program after completing her undergrad at Lasell University majoring in Sports Communication with a minor in Event Management. She was a notable student-athlete for the women’s volleyball program in her time at Lasell which spanned from 2014-2017.
In Garcia’s time as student-athlete for the Lasers, she was a 4-year starter and was voted captain by her peers in her junior and senior seasons. Garcia’s senior year, she was honored with an All-GNAC 2nd Team selection. She capped her career by joining the 2,000 dig club, finishing with 2,129, 2nd most in Lasell history.
Previously, Garcia assistant coached an 18 & under team at SMASH Volleyball Club, a top-level club in the New England Region. She also coached a couple seasons at other clubs in the region, including Beantown and Hurricanes.
Additionally, Garcia currently works full time for a local non-profit, the Waltham Boys & Girls Club. Serving as the Club Engagement Manager where she focuses on relationship building through community partners and organizes, promotes, and implements diversified programs to prepare local youth for success beyond the Club doors.
