NEWTON, Mass. – Lasell University freshman Ally Kirck (Hamden, Conn.) was recognized Monday by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for her performance in the Lasers' perfect record (4-0) last week.

Kirck was named GNAC Softball Rookie of the Week, the first Laser softball player to receive a GNAC weekly honor since 2017.

A rookie center fielder, Kirck batted .615 (8-for-13) last week with a double, a stolen base, five runs scored, and three RBI in the 4-0 week for the Lasers (2-0 GNAC). She went 2-for-5 with three runs scored Tuesday in a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Wentworth, and she went 6-for-8 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI Saturday in a GNAC sweep over Anna Maria, including 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI in the opener.

Kirck is ranked 13th in the GNAC in the early-going with a .409 batting average (9-for-22). She is also tied for ninth with six runs scored, tied for 10th with nine hits, and tied for 13th with five RBI.

Lasell, 6-0 overall in what is the best start in program history, will be home again this Saturday, April 3, hosting Albertus Magnus College in a GNAC doubleheader, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
