CLERMONT, Fla. (3/15/17) – On day three of its Florida trip, the Lasell softball team dropped a pair of games to UMass Boston and Smith College at Sleepy Hollow Field.

In the early contest, the Lasers fell to the Beacons 11-4, who added a run in all but two innings – capped by a five-run fifth. Victoria Spellman (Rocky Hill, Conn.) cranked out a double, going 3-for-4 in the effort, while Mackenzie Madden (Mashpee, Mass.) and Maggie King (Sandy Creek, N.Y.) swung into two hits apiece.

Lasell's four runs came from King and Spellman, each scoring twice.

The Lasers will face Roger Williams and Gallaudet tomorrow, with first pitch against the Hawks slated for 10:00 a.m.
