Lasell College senior softball player Talia DeChiara (Kingston, Mass.) was honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for her play during the 2012 season. She was selected to the All-GNAC third team by the conference's coaches.
DeChiara led the Lasers in batting average (.365), slugging percentage (.487), on base percentage (.407), runs scored (21) and stolen base (7). She started 38 of the team's 40 games at shortstop, finishing the season with a .939 fielding percentage. DeChiara was also named to the GNAC sportsmanship team for her leadership throughout the season.
