Saluti Picks Up First All-Conference Award

Alison Saluti (Braintree, MA) of the Lasell College softball team picked up her first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) award as the 2011 All-Conference teams were announced on Monday.  The sophomore pitcher was named a third team all-conference honoree.

 

Saluti made 15 appearances during the Lasers 2011 campaign, facing 422 batters in 90.2 innings.  She started 14 of those contests, and pitched 11 complete games.  During those outings, Saluti struck out 55 batters, averaging 4.29 strikeouts per contest, while walking just 19, and allowing only 49 earned runs.  She yielded 118 hits during the seasons and ended the year with a 4.86 ERA and a .310 opponent batting average.  Her final record at the conclusion of the year was 5-7, and her GNAC slate was 5-3.

 

Over two season with the Lasers, Saluti has an overall 12-16 record, has pitched 196.1 innings, struck out 125 batters, and has a 4.68 ERA.  Her career high for strikeouts in a single contest is 10, which she set against Pine Manor College on March 24, 2010.
