Henniker, NH - The Lasell Men's Soccer team fell to the NEC Piligrims 3-0 on Thursday, ending their season in the opening round of the GNAC playoffs. The Lasers had made the playoffs after beating NEC on Tuesday 3-1. The Lasers end their season 4-10-3. The Piligrims are now 9-6-4. This was the second straight year the Lasers made the playoffs, after having only made the playoffs once in the previous five seasons.

The Piligrims came out fast, scoring in the fifth minute. They would then double their lead just four minute later. They would add one more goal before halftime to make it 3-0. The Lasers did not go down quietly though, as they outshot NEC 9-6 in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net.

In net, Antonio Centracchio put on a gutsy performance, returning from an injury that had sidelined him for the previous four games. He made six saves.

On the season the Lasers were led by Ryan Klopchin's four goals. Daniel Faynstein, Jaydon Perez, and Dillon Winkelmann were right behind him with three goals each. Faynstein led the team with three assists and nine points. Despite missing three games due to injury, Faynestein finished the season with a team high 77 shots, tied for the sixth most shots by a single player in school history. He set the school record last season with 117.

The Lasers will say goodbye to a number of key players, including captains Elisio Nascimento and Michael Palumbo. Also graduating will be Jaydon Perez and Oscar King.
