Newton, MA - The Lasell Men's Soccer team put together their best half of the season at the most important time, as they defeated the NEC Piligrims on Tuesday, solidifying their spot as the #10 seed in the GNAC playoffs. The Lasers are now 4-9-3 overall and 4-7-3 in GNAC play. The Piligrims are 8-6-4 and 6-5-3.

The Piligrims started the scoring in the 15th minute, and took the 1-0 lead into halftime. But the Lasers came out in the second half looking like a different team. Dillon Winkelmann found the back of the net off of a great feed from Girish Raghunathan in the 57th minute, tying the game up. Eight minutes later, Daniel Augustine put the Lasers up with his first career goal. The Lasers would add one more in the 78th minute when Daniel Faynstein scored off of a pass from Jaydon Perez in the 78th minute. The goal was Faynstein's 20th career goal, becoming just the seventh player in program history to reach that mark.

Cameron McDonough was stellar in net, making a number of key saves down the stretch. He made five saves in the game.

Up next - The Lasers will travel to NEC on Thursday to play in the GNAC Play-in round. That game's start time is TBD.
