MSOC: Lasers Pick Up Point in Draw to Dean

Franklin, MA - The Lasell Men's Soccer picked up a point on Friday when they drew against Dean 0-0. The Lasers are now 3-9-3 on the season and 3-7-3 in GNAC play, while the Bulldogs are 9-3-3 and 7-3-3. The Lasers now hold a two point lead over Emmanuel for the final spot in the GNAC playoffs.

Neither team would score in this one, and overall, things were pretty even throughout. The Bulldogs held the advantage in shots 16-12, but the Lasers put more on goal at 5-3.Both team had five corner kicks. The most noteworthy event in the game came in the 61st minute when Ryan Klopchin picked up his second yellow card in six minutes, forcing the Lasers to play a man down for the final 30 minutes. But the defense was up to the task, as they only allowed one shot on goal the rest of the way.

Cameron McDonough made three saves for the Lasers as he recorded his first career shutout.
