Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers men's soccer team fell to the Saint Joseph (CT) Blue Jays by a final score of 4-1 on Wednesday. The Lasers fall to 2-4-2 on the season and 2-3-2 in GNAC play while the Blu Jays moved to 7-0-1 and 5-0-1.

It was an eventful match as the two teams combined for 40 shot attempts. But the Blue Jays struck first late in the first half. The Lasers had a chance earlier in the half when the USJ goalie left the net to play the ball, but the Lasers attempt came up just short of the goal line.

The second half saw the Blue Jays double their lead quickly in the 51st minute, followed by another goal in the 59th minute. The asers would get one back on a Ryan Klopchin header off of a Liam Thompson corner kick, making it 3-1. USJ would add a late goal to make the final 4-1.

Lasers goalie Antonio Centracchio finished the game with five saves.

Up Next - The Lasers will play a non-conference match on Saturday when they host Fisher at 3pm.
