MSOC: Laser Falter Against Vikings in Season Opener

Newton, MA - The Lasell University Men's Soccer team fell in their season opening game on Friday, falling to Salem State by a score of 4-0. The Lasers are 0-1 on the season while the Vikings are 1-0.

The Vikings opened the scoring in the 13th minute to go up 1-0. They then added two more goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead at halftime. While the Lasers played better in the second half, they were unable to find the back of the net. The Vikings would score one last time in the 67th minute to take home a 4-0 win.

The Lasers were led by Daniel Faynstein on the offensive side of things, as he took 11 of their 20 shots, putting six on goal. In net the Lasers had Antonio Centracchio. He made five saves.

Up Next - The Lasers will travel to Anna Maria on Tuesday to open up GNAC play. That game will start at 6pm.
