MSOC: Two Lasers earn GNAC awards; Lewis wins Coach of the Year

Newton, Mass. - Two student athletes and head coach Jared Lewis of the Lasell Men's Soccer team took home Great Northeast Athletic Conference Awards after the conference announced the awards this morning. 

Daniel Faynstein (Needham, Mass.) earned first team All-GNAC honors. Faynstein netted 16 goals (2nd in conference), earned 36 points (3rd in conference), led the conference in shot attempts with 117 and chipped in 3 game-winning goals for the Lasers. 

Graduate Transfer Jonathan Martinez (Stonypoint, N.Y.) took home the all-sportsmanship award for Lasell. The grad student chipped in 3 assists this year for Lasell. 

First year Head Coach and Lasell class of 2014 graduate Jared Lewis earned the GNAC Coach of the Year award. Lewis led his team to a 6-10-3 overall record and 4-5-3 conference record to give the Lasers a playoff berth for the first time since 2019. He is no stranger to this conference as he went 50-22-8 overall and 28-5-5 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference during his playing days.
