MSOC: Lasers Collect Non-Conference Victory Over Lesley

LEXINGTON, MA - The Lasell Lasers picked up a non-conference win on Monday night, defeating Lesley University by a score of 1-0. The Lasers improve to 3-7-3 on the season, while Lesley falls to 0-8. After a dominant first half, during which the Lasers attempted 10 shots, Lasell was finally able to get a goal in the second half. The Lasers found the back of the net with 20 minutes left in the game when Daniel Faynstein (Needham, Mass.) found Jaydon Perez (Amherst, Mass.) in the front of the net. Perez would put it away, giving Lasell the 1-0 lead. The Lasers controlled the game from start to finish, peppering the Lesley goalie with shots all night. The Lasers outshot the Lynx 20-2, and attempted 9 corners, compared to just two for Lesley. Along with his assist, Faynstein attempted six shots in the game, all of which were on goal. Lasell goalie Gabrielus Bazikas (Southborough, Mass.) put up a clean sheet, stopping both shots that he faced. Up Next - The Lasers will next play on Wednesday, October 12th, as they host Elms College at 3pm.
