MSOC: Lasers fall to Albertus in rainy season finale

Waltham, Mass. – The Lasell University Lasers men's soccer team fell on a rainy and windy afternoon against the Albertus Magnus Falcons, 2-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) clash Tuesday at Gordon Field.

The Lasers fall to 2-14-1 on the year and 1-10-1 in the GNAC while Albertus improves to 10-4-1 on the year and 8-2-1 in the GNAC.

It took 68 minutes for either team to break through, but the Falcons got on the board when freshman Arian Bobi (Amity, Conn.) ran onto a ball from junior Kelvin Cortez (Meriden, Conn.) and slotted it far post.

10 minutes later the Falcons doubled their lead when Bobi made a short pass right in front of goal to find freshman Jackson Miner (Canton, Conn.) for the easy tap in.

There was not much offense to be had this afternoon with Albertus holding a slight advantage in shots at 13-9.

The game marked the final game of the season for the Lasers men's soccer team in 2021.
