MSOC: Lasers drop non-conference bout to Suffolk

East Boston, Mass. – The Lasell University Lasers men's soccer team dropped its non-conference matchup against the Suffolk University Rams, 3-0, Sunday at James A. Sartori Stadium.

Freshman Gabriel Bazikas (Southborough, Mass.) got his first start in net and made three saves.

The Rams got on the board first in the 25th minute when graduate student Nigel Leo (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) scored following a pass from freshman Taj Jensen (Providence, R.I.). Suffolk added a second goal less than three minutes later. Sophomore Brady Sorensen found the back corner of the net off a feed from freshman Edward Abouzeid (Norton, Mass.) from the right side.

Suffolk added their third goal of the game in the 84th minute following a strike from freshman Erik Van Even (Boston, Mass.) off a centering pass from Sorensen.

The Rams had the advantage in both shots 21-5 and corners 6-2.

The Lasers will be back in action on Saturday, September 11th in a conference matchup against Norwich University with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. at Taylor Field.
