NEWTON, Mass. (10/13/14) – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference recognized Lasell College freshmen Newton Jordao as the league's rookie of the week for his play in a pair of matches for Lasell. The Hyannis, Mass. native assisted on three of the Lasers four goals in a 4-2 non-conference victory against Regis College mid-week, then capped the week by scoring once and adding an assist in a 4-0 defeat of Rivier University on Saturday afternoon.

Jordao's goal against Rivier was his third of the season, and his four assists on the week were his first of the season as the midfielder continues to raise his level of play as the year has gone on.
