NEWTON, Mass. (12/10/13) - Lasell College senior men's soccer players Mike Skelton and Nery Guerra was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England South teams. Skelton was named to the first team for the second consecutive season after his record breaking year for the Lasers. Skelton set a new school record for goals in a season with 22, the fifth-highest mark in the nation while also setting single season records for point with 49. Skelton also became the program's all-time leader in goals and points with 55 and 128 respectively.
Guerra, a second team All-GNAC selection was named to the NSCAA Second team All-Region for the second straight year, following an outstanding senior season. A midfielder, Guerra started all 20 games he appeared in, scoring a pair of goals and assisting on four others. A key component in an explosive Lasell attack, Guerra helped the team to an average of 2.6 goals per game, the top offense in the GNAC, and the 31st highest mark in the nation.
