#12 Brandeis Stops Lasell in Men's Soccer

WALTHAM, Mass. — The Lasell College men's soccer suffered their first loss of the season, falling 5-1 at 12th ranked Brandeis University. The Judges, ranked second in New England improve to 7-0 with their sixth-straight home win while Lasell falls to 4-1.

Freshmen Lance Mayo (Cambridge, Mass.) scored the lone goal for Lasell, knocking in a loose ball following a Lasers corner kick.

Brandeis was led by senior midfielder Kyle Feather (Pinebrook, N.J.), who scored the team's first and last goals. His fifth of the season came in the 11th minute, when he headed home a long throw-in by junior back Foti Andreo (Lynn, Mass.). Feather's second of the night and sixth of the season came in the 59th minute off a short corner.

Senior Tudor Livadaru (Bronx, N.Y.) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 27th minute, while Michael Chaput (Holliston, Mass.) and Mike Lynch (Weymouth, Mass.) each added goals for Brandeis as well.

Lasell's Miguel Colmenares (Doral, Fla.) made four saves in 78 minutes of work while Brandeis's Joe Graffy (Concord, N.H./Concord) also had four stops for the hosts.

Brandeis returns to action on Saturday afternoon with a non-conference matchup at Tufts University at 1 p.m. Lasell is at Albertus Magnus at 3:15 on Saturday afternoon for a GNAC showdown.
