Lasell College senior Stephen Petrin (Vernon, CT) has been awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All Region Scholar Athlete Award. The award recognizes outstanding academic performance while serving as a student-athlete.

Petrin was an outstanding four year player at Lasell starting first as central mid-field player before being converted to a center back his senior year. Lasell's head men's soccer coach Giovanni Pacini calls Petrin, "the consummate student-athlete. He goes above and beyond what is expected of a student-athlete and his future will be filled with nothing but success."

The NSCAA is the largest coaching organization in the world and it recognizes not only outstanding performance on the soccer field, but in the classroom as well.
