LATE GOAL TAKES BRANDEIS PAST LASELL

The Judges of Brandeis University snapped a seven game winning streak for Lasell College, beating them 1-0, in men's soccer action.  Though the game was originally intended to be played at Lasell, a last minute change in location because of the weather sent the Lasers down the road to play at Gordon Field.

Lasell's Zach Gagne (Somerset, MA) attempted three shots on goal for the Lasers, and Kyle Cronin (Weymouth, MA) found another opportunity, however, they were stopped each time by Brandeis' rookie goalkeeper Sean O'Hare (Southampton, MA).  Three of the Lasers four shots-on-goal were taken in one-on-one challenges with O'Hare, who picked up 4 saves in the win.

After 82 scoreless minutes, the Judges broke through with the contest winning goal. Senior forward Ben Premo (Florence, MA) tapped the ball to Jaime Batista (Westford, MA) who sent a missile shot from just outside the penalty box to tally the only goal of the game.

The Lasers finish their regular season with an 11-6-0 overall record.

Lasell is set to host Albertus Magnus College in the quarterfinals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament, Saturday afternoon, at 1 p.m., on Taylor Field.
